Just who is Brett Kottmann?

Brett Kottmann is me (hi!), the author behind the original commentaries in Reality Hammer. I am a historian, political commentator and (during the day) an IT executive. My commentaries in this archive are political and historical in nature. I have been writing on a variety of subjects for over 10 years, and you may have seen some of my work in technical periodicals, political journals and even the letters to the editor section of your favorite newspaper or magazine.

I have appeared as a guest commentator on Reagan's tax cuts, the libertarian movement within the Republican Party and the military history of the United States. I have also written several articles and book sections on the IT industry and such subjects as e-commerce and IT in the health care industry. On the Internet I frequently use the handle "Stupendous Man" and/or "Enemy of Totalitarianism", much to the dismay of leftists everywhere. For those of you who are not fans of Calvin and Hobbes, Stupendous Man is one of Calvin's alter-egos. In his attempts to make the world a better place for Calvin, Stupendous Man frequently experiences a "wisdom/character building experience". I like to use it as a pseudonym to remind me that a "wisdom/character building experience" is always just around the corner for all of us.

I live in the suburbs of Ohio with my wife and family, which include at least one cat and/or dog at all times.
